The shelf life for the SURVIVOR FILTER™ ACTIVE Filtration Bottle (900mL) and SURVIVOR FILTER™ Active All Terrain Filtration Bottle & Carrier System is 50 years if not used at all; but if used, it will begin to degrade within 10 years, you may start noticing taste or flow rate issues once it's past it's effectiveness date and/or capacity lifespan, whichever comes first.

Also do not allow the filter to freeze, do not place in the dishwasher and do not run hot water through the filter.
